Visualization – Day 15
- 0 Comments... What do you have to say?
This is a continuation of the 30-Day Visualization Trial. More detail about the trial can be found here.
Visualization was very disconnected today. I’m thinking I should read more about visualization. So far, I have one source – The Secret. I want to get some other sources so I get a broader picture, like anything else.
However I did listen to The Secret again today and I came to a big realization. The whole point of visualization is not just to build energy up. It’s to build positive energy up. It’s to feel good. If I’m not feeling good, positive energy isn’t going out so I can’t attract it back in. Feeling good is what is most important. So I’ve kind of brought more things in my life that make me feel good. More inspiring music. More connections. More reading. More positivity.
I didn’t really do too much marketing today. I wanted to see how many people came back to really get a measure of the usefulness or the “stickiness” of the site. Looks like I got some work to do. :)

Visualization – Day 14

Today visualization was about my content. I started thinking about quality and what makes different posts go viral and what makes sites bigger than others. I just stopped today and studied different mega sites. I went to stuff white people like and really studied his writing style. I went to different youtube videos and users that were popular. From each place I went I learned something different about content.
I also visualized specific people I wanted to connect with. That brought some intensity up. I think a problem could be that when you visualize and you don’t act, your mental model of the visualization may have a tendency to remain constant and if you keep visualizing the same things over and over the intensity eventually diminishes.
Stuff showing up
The great thing about visualization is what appears in your reality. It’s like the exact things I need to move forward show up whether that be an article I read, a book, a song or some feedback.
I read this post today on Problogger. Basically he’s saying that the difference between Problogger being a hobby and a business was his wife’s ultimatum to get it to generate a full income in 6 months or he would have to work at a job. This spurred him to take way more effective action and it totally shifted his mindset and allowed him to grow Problogger to a business. Definitely some food for thought.
Also, The New Community Rules: Marketing on the Social Web came in. I’ll read that after I finish the ultra-thick Awaken The Giant Within.
More 30-day trials
I started thinking about more 30-day trials I could do after this one. There are infinite options to choose from so I think next time I’ll ask readers and others on different forums what they would want to see. This 30-day trial has given me so much to write about.

Day 15 Here I come!
Visualization – Day 13
- 2 Comments... What do you have to say?
This is a continuation of the 30-Day Visualization Trial. More detail about the trial can be found here
Visualization was great today. There was intensity and it seemed to be very expansive. I’m noticing that visualization does build up energy to move forward with what you have to do, but there could be a variety of things that bring your energy down. Frustration, fear, anger, etc. This wipes out any energy you built up in the first place.
Can I keep it up?
This is my first 30-day trial ever, and I keep wondering if I’ll keep this up after 30 days is over with. It’s pretty easy now, but after 30 days is up I won’t be blogging about it consistently so the accountability will be gone. Hopefully I’ll have done it enough to make it a habit.
Random Notes
20 minutes is almost like nothing now. I remember on day 4 it seemed like a long time to just sit and visualize because it was so disconnected. I kept looking at the clock every 3 – 5 minutes. Now when I look at the clock about 10 minutes has passed by so I only have to look at it twice. I’m thinking I should just set an alarm so I don’t have to interrupt the process at all.
Detached from results
I’m noticing that staying detached from results is challenging, but I guess that’s the whole point of visualization. Instead of you needing results or wanting results, when you come from a place of already having your results you come from fullness instead of neediness.

Wus sup day 14!
Visualization – Day 12
- 0 Comments... What do you have to say?
More intense visualization today. It wasn’t hard, everything flowed and there was lots of energy. I think I’m starting to get the hang of this. I guess with anything you get better at it when you decide to put more focus and attention on it and you keep doing it over and over.
I notice I’m getting closer to my vision one step at a time. Little tweaks here and small improvements there are really starting to add up. I’m seeing different opportunities arise from different places.
Overcoming fears with visualization
Visualization is also helping me overcome fears. For instance, I was really fearful of putting my picture up online, and it feels really good to have overcome that. It was really putting a halt to different plans I had. Also, I put my blog up for critique in a forum – something I would have also been afraid to do.
Feeling those feelings when you’re visualizing seem to amp up desire. If you amp up desire enough it will push the fears to the side so you can take empowering, positive action towards what you want. Once you can push through those fears and take action then there go results.
Fear is anxiety over thoughts you have about the future. If you’re visualizing and feeling the feelings of already having what you want, you’re taking your mind off the future and actually enhancing your present moment. No future, no fear.
