Visualization – Day 23

Visualization was great today. I can really feel momentum building during this trial. I woke up at 5:00am. I thought it was some fluke and I tried to go back to sleep, but I couldn’t. I felt very well rested so then I started looking at it as a good thing. I used to think that I needed maybe 8-10 hours of sleep, but today I found out that’s not true. For most people, 6-7 hours of sleep a day is best. I originally set my alarm clock to 6:00am but I am certainly OK with 5.
I was extremely productive today. I got most of what I had planned to do done before 11:00am. I have to say I think visualization is working. I also thought that I was the only one that had done an online visualization trial, but I’m starting to look in forums and see older visualization trials. Interesting.
Let’s go day 24!
Visualization – Day 22

Visualization went well today, but it wasn’t as intense, clear, and vivid as it was yesterday. I’m really starting to think that what I’m eating could have an impact on how clear the visualization is. The only difference between yesterday and today is that I didn’t drink nearly as much water and I ate a lot less processed food, so I’ll try eating less processed food and drinking more water today and tomorrow to see what effect that has on visualization. I still have to say that visualizing while taking a walk is a lot more effective at bringing intensity to the visualization than staying in the house. I think it could depend on what you’re visualizing too. Yesterday visualizing being in a completely healthy body while walking was very intense, but visualizing any financial goal while walking didn’t really have that much of an effect.
Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain came in from Amazon. It’s not a very big book so I should be able to finish it in about 3-4 days after I finish Awaken the Giant Within.
Today was a very productive day, but I want to be careful not to take on too much. So far it seems like every day I’m able to get more and more done though. I’m really looking forward to day 23.
Visualization – Day 21

Today there was a useful discovery. Usually when I visualize I sit upright in my computer chair, close my eyes and start visualizing. Lately I’ve moved to laying down and visualizing. That’s been great and I’ve had results doing that.
Visualization outside
Today, out of the blue, I went for a 40-minute walk. When I was done, I realized that during the 40-minute walk I visualized better than any other day of this trial. It all happened naturally too. I didn’t go outside specifically to visualize. As I was walking I could see and feel my goals very vividly all while listening to music. It was like I was in some kind of a zone and it was more than visualization. I really felt like I was in my health goal. The other goals weren’t quite as intense but they were still way easier to visualize than when I’m in the house. It seemed like the perfect temperature, the smooth crispness of the air, and the infinite blue sky did something to me that was unexplainable. I can’t get that feeling in the house, so from now on that will be my primary way of visualizing.
Also, I noticed the time was important too. Today I took that walk at around 9:40am. I’ve taken some walks in the evening and they just don’t have the same effect as walking in the morning.
This all makes sense because I unconsciously visualized like that in my first semester of college. I stayed in an apartment 20 minutes from campus so I just walked to class everyday while listening to music. I would rack up 2-3 hours of walking day just going back and forth from my apartment to the campus. I felt the best during those walks.
I came back home and tried visualizing laying down to see the difference. There was way less intensity and more distractions for my mind to get caught up in.
I’m really looking forward to Day 22.
Visualization – Day 20

This is a continuation of the 30-Day Visualization Trial. More detail about the trial can be found here.
Visualization was good today. I went through all the areas of personal development while visualizing – finances, relationships, fun, spirituality, etc.. I wanted to get a clearer picture of what each area of my vision looked like, so I’d ask myself different questions like “What would it look like if I were really spiritually developed?”. Then after visualizing that for about two minutes I would ask “What would I be doing for fun?”. The spirit question kind of scared me. I’ve heard many people talk about their third eye opening, spirit guides, and other different spiritual experiences they’ve had. That would freak me out.
What’s great is that I feel like these different aspects of my vision can actually happen and every day I seem to get closer. Going at this pace it doesn’t look like I’ll be there tomorrow or next month or this year, but I can see it becoming a full reality in maybe two or three years.
Waking up earlier
Usually throughout the week I wake up anywhere between 7:30-10:00am, but today I woke up at 6:00am. I really liked waking up that early, so for the rest of the trial I’m going to wake up at 6. It feels like when I do that I’m getting closer and closer to a rhythm that I was in in my freshman year in college when I made straight A’s. During that time I usually had finished all my classes/coursework/studying before noon so I had the rest of the day to just do what I wanted to. I would like to get to a point where I can plan my whole day, but it’s hard to do that if I’m waking up at different times.
I feel so good today. Way better than usual. The only thing I’ve really done differently is drink more water. I drank half a gallon of water today and I feel calmer, more clear headed and more energetic than usual.
2/3 of the way through. Let’s go Day 21!
