Visualization – Day 19

This is a continuation of the 30-Day Visualization Trial. More detail about the trial can be found here.

Visualization was excellent today. There were so many things running through my mind. What other trials could I do? What would life look like if I were to form habits from those trials? How far could/should I push myself? It’s so exciting just to think about how you can construct your day when there’s a blank canvas.

Yesterday I forgot to visualize laying down and I visualized sitting up in my chair. I didn’t think that would be that big of a deal, but it turned out there was a huge difference. You can even look at the writing from yesterday and see the difference.

I bought Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain. It’s recommended by Steve Pavlina so I trust it to be a useful source to learn more about visualization.

Possible 30-day Reading Trial

I’m thinking my next trial should be a reading trial. Over the last year I’ve bought about 60 personal development books. I’ve read about 17 of them so far, but I haven’t read them the way I want to read them. Usually if I want to finish a book I might take 6-7 hours out of the day to read it. It takes about two days for me to finish a book depending on the size, but there are a lot of drawbacks to reading a book like that. I don’t retain/comprehend as much, it puts a big dent in other plans a person might have had for that day, and I can only do it sporadically because it’s too much of an inconvenience to do consistently. I know if I can make reading something I do every day for maybe an hour or two, I could probably triple the amount of books I read, have greater comprehension and have the days run a lot smoother. The last thing I want is to have all these valuable books just sit here and collect dust.

Let’s go Day 20!
