I feel I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing (at this moment)
And that is all we really have, isn’t it ?
But, I have been able to stir just a tiny bit of an awakening in a few, who then redirect their path. I feel my path is communicator, though I label myself as an artist.
This poem touches on all these. If you were to project yourself to your 80th birthday, what excuses would you tell yourself as to why you passed on opportunity.

Sorry I took so long responding to your messages. I saw them a while ago and tried to think of the perfect responses. Then I realized there is no perfect response.

@Kakie – I’m so happy to hear you had that experience. Some of the best people to be around are the people that are genuinely happy and fulfilled with what they do.

I agree, this is a great poem indeed. It’s always good to do what one loves to do, regardless of the fear or challenges. After all, we only get one shot at this life, why not take the best shot? Thanks for sharing this, Broderick.

Great poem. As an award winning author of the Bur Bur and Friends children’s book series, I know what it is to just do. Five years ago, I never would have imagined I would be an author of books that educates kids about sports and outdoor exploration. It has not been an easy road, but it has been a fulfilling one. I have the pleasure of not having to be the one who says, “I have always wanted to write and publish children’s book.” I get to be the one who says “I did it”
